Putting aside the increased HP and torque, are the changes on the 2020 engine significant enough for the normal Joe? I know the pistons are going to be steel versus aluminum and the turbo is supposed to spool differently. What else am I missing?
Ford’s engineers took a run at the cylinder head, block, connecting rods, and bearings; each one beefed up to handle higher cylinder pressures and greater outputs.
The injectors spray up to eight times per stroke to control noise levels and optimize combustion
If you don't need the extra power try and find the best deal on a 2019 diesel. I just sold a 2018 diesel and honestly it had Way more power then I needed to tow my 12k 5th wheel. Only reason I sold the truck was the load carrying was not enough for my 5th wheel. Don't underestimate 2017-2019 6.7 and 6 speed, they are wonderful package. You can probably get a very good deal on a 2019 before the 2020 trucks hit the lots.

I've actually owned a 17 and two 18s. I have a 2020 Tremor on order but afraid it won't fit in my garage due to the height increase and 35" tires. With that being said if I find out it won't fit it will be down to finding an inbound 2020 or leftover 2019.
