Maybe he should look at a non tremor. Even if they lower them a half inch up front, its still a big truck.
@cowzrul

I would do that and the 18s/AT tires. Might get lucky and have enough room to put some 35s on, should still fit on the truck even if dropped 1/2 inch.

I park outside but when I build a garage it will get 8ft doors. I have another vehicle for going to meetings in buildings with parking garages.

I think Ford dumped the CP4.2 , as did GM.

Don’t overlook changing the Grill to improve airflow, this was over due for those who live in hotter climates.

If you notice the new front valance, it’s formed to direct oncoming air up and into the radiator.
Now many will cut this off, and will it now affect warranty given the huge power output improvements depend on more airflow.

Thanks! I hadn't noticed the new cutouts in the valence.

If Ford increased the displacement from 6.7 to maybe 7.0 that would be enough for lots of people to trade. Even with all the internal improvements, it's still advertised as a 6.7. Most buyers won't be aware of the internal improvements but they would notice the change in displacement.

I doubt it. The Tremor valance is smaller than any other one they offer. One could throw that one on a non Tremor.

But the Tremor is not setup to tow as much as a non-tremor truck (taking in to consideration what the suspension and 35" tires does to tow ratings), so maximum cooling will not be needed.

For those who don't tow very, very heavy in high-heat environments....they will be fine to cut the airdam and/or replace it with the Tremor/2WD version.

Do you have any links to info where it's said that they have ditched it? I haven't found anything that supports the rumors that they got rid of it. GM now has a denso fuel pump and it seems to be having just as many issues in the L5P as the CP4 in the LML.

No , I don’t have a link, but I did recently sell my truck because of CP4 issues, motor running hot when towing, poor mileage, and insufficient GVWR. I’ll be a buyer of a new truck late 2020 as Ford keeps improving this truck design. The various new 2020 truck intros discussed this change and I was ready to let go.

I've only had my 2019 for two weeks now, but am very happy with the 6.7L and have been averaging 16.7MPG so far, and that's mostly around town with some country road driving. Not bad for such a big truck.

Something to think about, when towing heavy and a brick, you will never got good mileage. Sure it is nice but more importantly is getting there in one piece.

I will averge 9.1 with my 2013 drw and I would expect that is gonna be it whether it is the lastest and greatest.

I was towing 14,000# at 8.8 mpg, MT I averaged 14.3 mpg for 8550 miles. Ford engineers are working on improving mpg, to their credit I always had plenty of power. These next trucks will be the best ever. I’m excited about the big block gas motor and interior upgrades.

What interior upgrades? I haven't seen much mentioned in that regard.

GM is updating their interior for next year, as explained GM didn’t have the time to redesign a new interior for their new truck intro.
Ford will do the same. Ram 12” screen leads the pack. When self driving features are introduced we’ll need the real estate.

I cannot find any HPFP info for the 2020 Ford SD truck. I apologize if I was wrong. I will not buy a CP4.2 unless it is covered by a ironclad warranty.
