Tow Mirror Wire Adapter

I recently picked up a pair 0f 08-16 tow mirrors to put on my 04. I have been unable to find adapters that are for power, heat and turn signal. All the ones I've found so far only do power and heat. Anyone have a link for adapters that will wok in my application or a source for the connectors so I can make my own.

Ray, have you checked EBay? Otherwise just run a wire from the turn signal to the pin in the adapter you can find.

If you google Ford Pigtail Connector, you will find a pdf catalog of the various connectors Ford uses.

I'm in the same boat as you almost (2001), the new tow mirrors I have, have a 22 cavity connector. I might go to the salvage yard and harvest some.

I came across Ford part number 1C3Z14A411BA that I'm going to try. The part cost a little more then the Chinese one but at least it's a genuine Ford part.

I ordered some connectors (and pins) from Mouser Electronics....I'll let you know if they are the correct ones.

UPS delivered ...the shells I ordered fit the 22 cavity mirror connector and lock.

The Mouser p/n for the connector is 571-2-1419158-8...they are about $3/ea. I ordered 2.

for the pin is 571-2-1419158-5-LP...they are like .20/each, I ordered 22. (less than 10 per side is required)

You will be cutting off your old 4 pin or 8 pin connector and re-pin this new shell to match the mirror connector functions.
