i know this topic has been beaten to the ground but i couldnt find an answer doing searches.... heres my problem i have an 06 f250 with the paddle mirrors(power) i bought a set of heated tow mirrors w/o the turn signal but the wiring harnes didnt come with a connector??? can i cut the one off of the paddle mirror and solder it on the tow mirror then plug it back into the original conector... or does someone maybe sell just the end connector for the tow mirror... there are 6 wires a purple two yellows a green and two black(heated) any help or ideas would be helpful thanks guys
yeah they dont come with a connector...i wish the did though. i wired mine directly, but now i am regretting this because if the ever need to be replaced i will have to cut and resolder all the wires. you could use the old connector, but if i were to do it I would try to find a connector that hooks into the existing harness on the new mirrors to help with problems in the future.
great thanks man so far this is becoming a royal pain in the you know what.... ok so if i cant find a connector because everytime i go to the deal about any part for theses tow mirrors they tell me they dont make then and i have to buy a whole new $300 mirror and so far been able to find most parts on ebay except this connector
hmm that kinda sucks.....you would think you could find the connector somewhere...maybe someone can tell u where to find one, if not then i would hook up the old connector
i had a heck of a time finding the pins that go in the connector to add to the truck harness to work with the new mirror. I didn't know these didn't come with the connector. What is it, just cut wires?
well i was just going to connect the wires by cutting the ones off of the paddle mirror and splicing them onto the wires with no connector on the tow mirrors and plug them back in and cross my fingers
