Hello, new to the Forum. My grandfather sold me his 77 Highboy. She's had a lot of home garage work since he purchased it in 85. She has a 3/4 ton Chasis with 1 ton suspension. 460 bbf with c6 divorced automatic transmission. That being said, it's been upgraded with an edelbrock 2 barrel carburetor; most of the vaccum system is missing and only the fuel vent is going to the emissions control canister. I'm having classic signs of a faulty modulator, ordered the part and on the way. The brake booster is attached to the tree behind the carb and 1 out to the tranny via modulator.
My question is, can I eliminate all of the system aside from the line feeding the modulator. And if so what will I need to block off or reroute. Also does this process differ between tranny age or engine age (manufacturer Date of Birth)

What year is the 1 ton (F350) suspension? 1967/78 F350's, 1979 F350 2WD's have Twin-I-Beam coil spring front suspension.
High Boys have leaf spring front suspension.
All 460's installed in cars/trucks had 4V carbs, so where did he find a 460 2V manifold since there is no such thing?
Divorced C6? Must be real interesting with the gap between the transmission and engine why the need to delete all the vacuum lines? You need the line to the booster, modulator and the distributor.

The only A/T available in 1973/77 F250 4WD (High Boys) was the C6.
There were some 429's with 2-barrel carbs. I have only seen one, in a 68 Merc. wagon. The 460 will not interfere with the frame if you use the correct exhaust manifold. I have never heard of an Edelbrock 2-barrel.
Back to the original question. You need vacuum to the brake booster, transmission modulator and vacuum advance on the distributor. Everything else can be deleted
