When the rain finally stopped yesterday I could not get motivated to do anything. I laid around and watched TV, played with little man, watched the UGA game. Today we have to run over to the mom in-laws house and check on an outside faucet that is leaking or something.
I will put the 2 new door seals and the tensioner pulley on the dodge tomorrow at work. Inside a warm shop with all my tools.
WIRE WHEELED THE BLACK OFF THE GRILLE AND BUMPER
The grille is toast and will be replaced but the truck looks much better without everything up front being black. Replaced the tension pulley and both door seals today too..
I don't like the blacked out stuff either. Saw the Ortho Dr today. Gave me a cortazone shot to see if it helps. Got back working on the shop for about 4 hours. Got one of the radial arm saws in place.
It looked like one big black blob on the front of the truck, the wife likes it better too. I need to add a set of fog lights, it is already wired for them. Also need to put in new side glass seals. Just little stuff here and there but almost done messing with it for the winter. I want to drop the tank on the 79 and get her running again.
Hope the knee gets better, the cold has mine hurting.
About time you got back on the 79. Eventually I want to add a 12 k winch, brush guard and more lights to my truck but that is way down the road. My priority now is a bedliner. There is new one out that does not trap water bed liner
I got to get the lumber of the trailer so I can load the 90. Jim in Macon is trading parts for wheels and tires for the dump truck
The dump truck is in Canton next time I am up that way may do the Detour to your place
Told the wife what I wanted for xmas last night. A new double din radio with navigation, DVD and backup cam for the Suburban. When we don't take the motorhome we take it on our trips so I see no reason not to upgrade it. She likes jumping into the 3rd row seat and taking a nap when we are on the highway. I need to buy the material and put a headliner in it since it's starting to droop in places.
i don't know how GM headliners are held up with thumb tacks. started looking for stuff for the truck . brushguard 450.00. canceled the idea of a winch not oating 800 to 1000 for a bumper
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Be careful with the upgrades, it can get addictive and expensive quickly. I know from experience! Called the local tire store to see how much they would charge to put the upper and lower ball joints on the dodge, wanted $600 bucks for just the labor and alignment. I will be doing the ball joints at work after my hand heals.
It took 11 stitches to close the 2 wounds on my right hand. Pretty much has made me useless at doing anything for the next week or two.
Other than a bed liner those 2 are it for now. Got to get some bill paid off
Dogs got you good. You be back doing stuff next week. We are too hard headed
