2016 Expedition - Door Code and Remote Start

Hello all,

Just bought my first Ford. 2016 Expedition. XLT 4wd (if that matters)

I don't have two programmed keys or the door code. Remote start doesn't activate. This uses a regular key that's built into the fob (if there are different versions for these).

I've searched online some and I'm guessing the key fob isn't properly programmed, or at least that'll be a good start. I also searched online looking for the physical location for the key code and found other year models, but not the 2016. So, I thought I'd ask before I went digging around.

So two things.....

1)Suggestions on what to do to try to get the remote start to work? If I should start by programming the key fob do you have a suggested vid? I need to buy another key and program it and the fob as well. (I found where I can change settings like run time, temp control, etc and it is switched 'on' there as far as I can tell)

2) where is the door code physically located on the 2016?

This is my first Ford and I'm excited about the Expedition. Drives nice and is surprisingly quick. I needed something to fit all of the family and it seems this will do nicely.

I think I need to get something to go on top (possibly) to help haul all of our junk (suitcases, etc) when we take a trip, if you have any good suggestions.

Thanks!

Have you tried looking behind the passenger kick panel below the dash? I know that past year F-150's had them there.

post what you did to get your fobs working - good to have the solution posted in case someone else has the same issue and comes across this thread.

i was going to suggest putting new batteries in the fob when i read your first post. may want to do that anyway just so that you know they’re good

can also download your manual; good to have.
