Saw the three springs set up right off. Who's are they? Only made there? I'm thinking about replacing mine. Noticed lately mine bottoms out on hard bumps more then it use to.
I'm not trying to be a downer here. You've got this truck pointed in the right direction, we have identified the PROBLEM AREA, but have not identified the cause of the problem. What if the broken clip is not the return path back to the negative post, but secures the case of the PCM to make contact somewhere else for the return path. Check with your meter set on Ohms to see if the case is in contact with the frame of the vehicle. I would make a list following the steps in that article and do what you can to eliminate that P0603 code. Start with the easiest one first. Maybe do one thing on that list clear the codes and then see if you can make the code pop back up. It would really suck if all of these problems started with a loose negative connection. But every problem starts somewhere. We are confident you installed a good PCM, but that code is coming back for some reason. Showed the pictures to the Wife. Maybe I shouldn't have. She want to go to Australia now.
G'day again AJ,
Well I've do extensive testing of the truck since fitting the second hand PCM. Covered 400Km (250miles) and not an issue.
Have put AE over her a couple of times and the first 100 to 160km the P0603 Code would pop up.
At 360Km I put AE over her and Code p0603 did not show and hasn't since.
So it appears that this issue is resolved to the best level possible to me.
I've agonised over what the root cause could have been. The only thing I can come up with is that when I pulled the TS-6Pos chip out at the start of this issue, it came out very easily.
It felt as though it had very little grip. So it could have worked lose, or lost gip on the pins due a few slight accidental tugs on the cable over the years during under dash work??
The chip being lose could have spiked on the pins or across pins??
The only issue I now have is the utter frustration of driving the truck in Stock Tunes .
I won't reinstate the PHP TS-6 Pos chip for fear of it being damaged buy the PCM or it that it was the initial cause.
So I have the PHP Hydra with 6 1023 Diesel Tunes loaded on the way via Clay at RR. waiting on the famous Yellow Tape bound parcel and I should see it at end of this week …
Maybe I should post the TS chip to PHP (or someone) to check it out. If it's found to be not damaged and all good I could on sell it? I have the burner for the TS to load new tunes as well.
Good Morning Friend. That is good news all the way around. Your troubles will help others. Stock tunes is way better than No Tunes. Or stuck in the Outback. If you could post an estimate on what you think the cost was to fix this problem from start to finish, that would be interesting as well. Glad I could help. I'm still going to post some pictures.

Dug this up about the P0603 Code on the KAM Error.
I'll dig up some more photos of bush camping and Boat. Unfortunately I had most of the pics on my previous phone and it took a dump and went on the fritz so lost most of them.
But I will find some and upload them.

Hydra Installed ,
After coming back from pulling my Lobster Pots (got a feed) I checked my Post Box:
Stirling service from Riffraff, my Hydra with 1023 Tunes had arrived.
So after cooking the Southern Rock Lobsters, I set about installing the Hydra.
As the truck is predominantly a tug I got mostly the Tow Tunes:
Tune 1: Daily Light
Tune 2: Heavy Tow
Tune 3: Medium Tow
Tune 4: Light Tow
Tune 5: Daily Econ
Tune 6: Street Shredder
No issues installing at all and took her on an extensive run around the same route with varying terrain using a different tune each lap.
Very impressed with the performance. Will see how she goes under tow next. Cutting hole in dash to fit Hydra Switch
Southern Rock Lobster season opened here off Victor Harbor South Australia on the 1st of this month.
The season runs from Nov 1st to May 31st. It cost around Aus $100 a season per pot for licence.
Your allowed only 2 pots as an amateur. Bag limit per person per day is 4 Lobster per day.
However the boat limit is 8 lobster per day. This morning catch Nov 27/2019 A couple of seasons ago. Pretty average size.
The boat is a 22Ft Mariner Pacer with a Mercruiser Cummins Diesel in it.
The Diesel is really a re-badged Isuzu. It is all offshore fishing here and a very good area for Southern Blue Fin Tuna and big Snapper.
The Tuna are about to migrate trough here now and will run until late February to early march.
You will notice I have the Lobster Pot Hauler attached for now. We would normally pull the lobster pots around 0630 and reset them and if the day is good and fish are bitting or tuna are about we would have a day fishing. Mariner Pacer 22 Truck and the Boat
Yep. I'm ready to move to the Aussie. We are vacationing and visiting family in Flordia. Had yellow fin tuna the other day for the 2nd time in my life and I do believe that is my new most favorite meat ever. DS, your truck is super cool. And the boat is too.
Thank so much for the detailed account of everything tried. Kudos for keeping at it!
I am wrestling with my own P1747 code without the skills set to test a harness or finances to let a shop go on a troubleshooting chase. I have the familiar symptoms, blinking OD light, bogs (no low end torque) in D and R, hard shift into 2nd a little easier to 3rd. Perfect throttle response in P and N.
