I took the 2 screws out of top of headlight assembly and CAN NOT get thing out to replace the bulbs. I’ve watched videos and not one I found actually shows someone doing it. It only show a pic of it in, then jumps to it out already. How is this don’t without breaking anything?
There's the two horizontal short ones, and the one long vertical one right in the middle. Just loosen that vertical one, you don't have to remove it. Then the assembly will pull out and you can rotate the turn signal socket to remove the turn signal as you pull the assembly out.
The owners manual actually contains an error in the 05 year model as well in regards to this, as it points to the long vertical screw in the middle as a beam adjustment screw. Broke mine trying to adjust the beam. There are 3 screws holding the headlamp assembly, the two obvious on top, then that long vertical one in the middle. Just loosen that middle, then pull it out. It has a couple of pegs that pulls out of the fender behind the turn signal.
My 03 just has two bolts on the top. I know that for a fact, cause I just put in LED's this past weekend and LOVE them. I have driven with them at night too, and they work amazing!
Maybe someone broke your adjustment screw off previously or you
missed them. 03’s definitely have them. It’s down in a hole between the tabs that the obvious screws go through.
