I have a '73 Bronco with a C4 trans. The differential gear ratio appears to be 1.75:1. Is this a normal ratio for an automatic? I haven't pulled a cover off the front yet, just using the wheel turn to drive shaft turns method to try to determine the ratio.

No, not even close.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. You start with 2.46 as if that was the axle ratio that wgb was looking for, but finish with 4.11 and 3.50 as standard with options of 4.56 and 4.11.
But it should be what he finished up with. 3.50 and 4.11 (rear, 3.54 and 4.10 front) are the most common. I didn't know 4.56 was an option, but it wouldn't shock me if it was.
How did you get the 1.75? That's exactly half of 3.50, so I'm guessing you've got 3.50/3.54 axles and a divide-by-2 error in your figuring.
Well when not knowing the correct answer on something, I try to find it. The 1st part of my replay was a copy and past and I believe is if for the C-4 transmission. I figured good info to know, so I left it.
Then I found what I believe to be the answer he was looking for.
