What are your thoughts on the best quality aftermarket engine gasket sets? I will likely be shopping RockAuto or Summit, depending on pricing for same parts. Back in the day it was always FelPro but times change as does quality. I know not all kits are the same in terms of quality. This will be most likely just a cam/intake swap for now. Wish there were more choices in pistons as TMeyer is so hard to get in contact with. Oh, the truck is 1980 F350, 400, C6, DRW, no A/C, 2WD.
I agree its pretty crazy there isn't a cast/hyper flat top option for both the 351M/400. I think RockAuto and get a FelPro set is a great option FelPro is still highly competitive. I just used two FelPro Subaru MLS head gaskets from RockAuto and received them in one day great quality.
Fel-Pro is still one of the best although the last 351C set I got was made by Mahle and was very high quality. Don't know the availability or cost these days of the Aussie 302 Cleveland heads but that is a one way to bump compression without changing pistons.
I've always resorted to buying the gaskets I want individually to get what I want. Felpro's are still the best, except for their Print-O-Seal line. (P.O.S Litterally)
