To my fellow 2wd owners: as we all are aware, oil changes are very prone to giant messes because of the cross member. I have tried making drain “trays” and “channels” but it never fails, I spill. Has anyone ever tried one of these?
I recently installed the valve, but have yet to drain with it yet. I probably won't change the oil until next calendar year, approximately 3 months from the valve install.
Beartracks- I bought one for mine but it didn't fit with the crossmember. Are you by chance running a small block?
I have a 75 2wd swb 360
Probably would have worked if I removed the pan to install it, but it's not worth all that effort
Common issue on FE engines when the oil pan is swapped. The original pan had a rear plug , the car pans have the plug that hits the cross member in a truck.

There's a 429/460 car engine in a 75 supercab at the JY where I live and the PO left the car oil pan on the engine and just cut out a hole in the cross member in order to drain the oil.
Is the F101 is the correct one for all of our vintage's engines? I get tired of cleaning the cross-member under my 300.
They had a few that would fit my application, but I wanted one with that long nipple so I could attach a hose to it. I would just go to their website and look up your engine, it should just go by the thread pitch of your factory oil pan drain plug's threads.
Try going to Aircraft Spruce. They have a lot of styles. You should be able to find one with a 90 degree bend for the tube. We use them on all of our aircraft at work. Caution: being for aircraft, try not to get sticker-shock! LOL
