So recently I started looking for a terrible exhaust leak. And I finally found it the cats and the y pipe is starting to fall apart and has a couple holes. Nobody sells this y pipe for a 2000 3.0 anymore. Any ideas for something that would bolt up? Don't mind if it's a off-road pipe with no cats just can't find anything everything is discontinued and idk if the 4.0 stuff would bolt up and fit.
No. None without cats. There are for the older square bodies, but none for newer models.
1998-2000 are different from 2001-2003. I just replaced my y-pipe on my 2003 Ranger Edge 3.0L . I looked for weeks before biting the bullet on a brand new Walker y-pipe part number 50203. Runs so much better now, but when I pulled it out of the box from rockauto I was shocked at the amount of wri kles in the bends. I also coated it with high temperature VHT Primer and Aluminum spray paint because the welds will definitely rust later leaving them exposed to the elements. If the factory y-pipe was hogged out I'm sure it would flow better, but I kept in mind that trying to make power with these trucks is like hoping a penguin will fly if you throw it off a cliff. I'd rather take the old y-pipe to where I could get cash for the precious metals in the converters alone. The recyclers won't take chunks of the converter that were punched out. Only whole, unmolested.
