Oil filter cap

Went to change the oil in my 6.0 for the first time. Take the oil filter out, drain the oil, and fill back up with 15qts. Move on to the oil filter and I cant get the old filter out of the cap. After a online search I find out it is a filter and cap made together from napa and the cap says do not use. Definitely not compatible with a motorcraft filter. So now I gotta drive 25mi one way to the nearest town to get one.

That sucks, especially since the one piece filter caps are known for serious issues. Not sure why someone would install one.

My father in law across the state always has those on his 6.0 from when he gets his oil changed at one of those speedy places.

Drives me crazy because I bought him a cap and filter last Christmas and gave him 2 filters for his birthday. Hehe. He doesn't get it!
