I have a 2003 Expedition. The 4wd drive switch is round unlike ones I have seen on-line. I watched a few videos concerning removal of the glove box to access the 4wd controller and when I popped the glove box the only thing I see is the fan housing. Could it be located somewhere else?
On the '03-'04 Expy's the 4x4 control module is located in the driver's side pillar down low, about seatback level. Take the trim piece off and you will see it.
No response when I turn the 4wd switch. Fuses in panel are all good. No corrosion around actuator at transmission, and wiring has continuity. I figure the module is a place to go next. You have another idea?
No dash lights go on when I hit the 4wd dash switch and no power to switch or the relay at transmission. Since there is no activation of the system there is no response when moving at any speed or direction.
