Odd Truck
I have a old truck I bought from a old man. It is a 1976 Ford F150. But its not just that. It has 8 lug 3/4 ton suspension under it. Is this factory??? My VIN is F13ANFK9337 133 6 F130 BC4 A B8 6150 F150 22 (warranty plate reading). its a dark brown color and it has a 460 with a granny gear 4 speed. It is a 2WD, long bed, regular cab, odd ball truck. Oh it has a Limited Slip Rear end, and it loves to bark the tires going into 2nd, if that helps any. Help me figure out my odd ball thats probably as fake as a 7 dollar bill. thanks.

Compare the VIN on the Warranty Plate to the VIN on the registration/title to see if they match.
If the VIN on the Warranty Plate doesn't match, all of the following decode is wrong.
F130 = F150 2WD Pickup.
A = 1973/78 FoMoCo Passenger Car & 1975/79 Econoline 460 4V // J = 1973/79 F100/350 460 4V
N = Norfolk VA Assembly Plant.
FK9337 = 1979 (1979 serial number range: DC0001-FK9999).
133" Wheelbase.
6 = Bright Yellow.
F130 = F150 2WD Pickup, 6150 lbs. GVWR
BC4: BC is not listed, look at it again to see if you copied it down wrong. / 4 = Styleside Pickup box.
A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual Transmission.
B8 = Dana 44 Rear Axle / 3.50-1 / Limited Slip / 2,900 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.
6,150 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
* F150 (the year is stamped here on some 1976's, all 1977/79's).
22 = Charlotte NC Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
AFAIK, no member of FTE knows anything about these trucks. F13 & F130 are not listed in the truck parts catalog.
Some people have speculated these trucks were made especially for FoMoCo "big wigs" or Ford family members, but who knows if this is correct...or not?
