I see that! I had a fully rolling easy turning assembly and ran it for a few minutes. Wow. I will investinvestigate those thanks Ken.
When was the last time this transmission was driven normally? I think you'd have heard some very loud and expensive noises if driven like that.
By chance did you have the transfer case removed recently? The adapter at the aft end of the transmission is what secures the bearing on the transmission output shaft to the transmission case. Remove that adapter (or tail housing on a 2WD) and the bearing and output shaft will move aft. Once that happens, the rollers fall out between the input and output shafts. Unfortunately, when that happens, it's rebuild time. You can't get the rollers back in place without some major disassembly.
Hi Karl,
oh yea have had the transmission and transfer case has been out twice. I had put a washer fore and aft of the input shaft needle bearings. Have been shoppijng for a used main and input shaft.
Welded washer (input side of mainshaft) T22 10spline input shaft with welded neddle bearings.cause one to many washers between the output side. 7135 looks to be a washer? Unless a washer isnt needed in a inputshaft neddle bearings. We shall see.
Jon, I hate to say it........but you appear to have a bunch of loose rollers gathered up around the reverse lever in this pic.
Hi Ken, i drained and took that transmission apart not one of those roller bearings were in the case or in the drained fluid. Never seen anything like it? I disassembled the input and output shaft. The main shaft is still in the case. I even turned the transmission over and still not one roller bearing. I strained the transmission oil thru a screen. Nothing on the magnet nothing in the back of the case? I know I see them lose in the picture but didn't even find one. Just thought I would keep you posted on what I found or didn't find.

Hi Jon,
Freaky!! They've gone somewhere..........you didn't take them out back in October, & put them aside?

That's what I thought. No I removed the whole transmission after I got the top on it and it sat until I could get to it to remove the cover, I know what you saw was true but no evidence of a single bearing. I searched the case and pulled the PTO covers used a light and a mirror. No damaged to the idler shaft and no bearings. Even turned the transmission over on wood blocks with the top off and rotated the assembly. Nothing.
. Ken I hope you and your family has a Great Christmas and New Year's!
