It looks like there is a white plastic clip that snaps through the line. I assume I put a screwdriver under the tab (see arrow) and pry the clip back out of the line, which will allow it to come free?
You got that right. But be prepared for the clip to break from old age. I think the new filters come with a new clip. Or some do. Pull the clip and pull the line off the filter
