For about the past year my front end has been getting squeaky, and I'd like to fix it.
About 3 years or 10k miles ago, it had new ball joints, sway bar links, and sway bar to axle bushings. I've greased the end links and the ball joints and noise remains. It doesn't seem to be related to steering wheel position, just when the suspension bounces
In researching it appears it could be the spring isolators. The truck has 135k miles Before I replace, does anyone have any suggestions for other things it could be?
Also, is 2C3Z-5586-AA the right part number?
If your truck is 2003 it if leaf sprung in the front. I can't say without seeing the truck but usually is a bushing. I found mine was leaf spring bushings. Alot of shops will not do just bushings. I would recommend doing new leafs instead. It will be cheaper and get a new ride feel!
Could be the isolators (tip inserts) and/or the bushings. Sometimes the bushing will push to one side and it allows the eye of the spring to make contact with the hanger and shackle causing a squeak. Or the bushing could just be worn and making noise.
