Front end clunking while hitting small bumps
i have a 2003 f250 ext cab fx4 , 7.3 . i have 92xxx miles on the truck . the front end has been clunking when i hit bumps. im wondering if it is my ball joints? if so, what are my options?? i can get all parts at cost and no labor!

Sounds like you already have a good place to get ball joints. Just make sure they are Moog brand, as they hold up better than any others, and are greaseable. The noise might also be your drop links and sway bar. My truck had the thump for a while, I replaced the ball joints and it helped, but I still have the noise. Now I need to replace the bushings in the drop links and sway bar. I'm sure others will chime in and help out also.

Check your front sway bar end links. I recently replaced mine because of the same problem. Got mine from a Ford dealer, but some have posted about removing the original ball type ends and replacing with an aftermarket polyurethane bushing and bolt kit.
