oil leaks...
I just put a real oil pressure gauge on my 88 5.0. Since the new sender was bigger than the original one, I had to put a 45 dgree elbow on it to make room. What is the best tread sealant for this type of fitting (brass?) and application (oil)? There's a pretty steady drip out of either the adapter or the elbow so this is the only thing I can think of to fix the problem. Thanks!

I used Permatex non-hardening gasket cement, no leaks at all. Pipe sealant should also work. Do not use Teflon tape because it may insulate the assembly electrically. A good ground is necessary for it to work.
