No start issue
I have a 96 7.3 poweratroke f350. It has 360,000 miles on it. I am having a problem where I turn the key to the on poaition, the wait to start light comes on the guages do their normal thing. Then everything just shuts off. No power to anything. If I turn the key off then back to on there is a clicking coming from the relay box under the hood and the alarm module. The alarm is a ford 600 plus model. Sometimes the alarm system and the locks will click like crazy until I unhook the batteries, if I leave them unhooked for a while it will do the normal start procedure then just stop again. Just replaced the batteries a month ago and keep all the maintenance done on a regular basis. I have been going over the truck for the past 4 days with no progress. Any help or ideas would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance

So as you're waiting on the wait to start light, the truck loses power?
The alarm issue is concerning. You might be best off removing it from the truck or at least disabling it so it isn't interfering with the normal operation. It sounds as if something is shorting out on the alarm set-up.
