Carb parts

I’m trying to find the part that goes in the vacuum port on a 1 Barrel carburetor. Also could someone post a picture of a 223 I6 1965 Engine. Thank You

1965 was the first year for the 240/300

1964 was the last year of the 223 in our era of trucks.

There were both 1 bbl. Holley and Ford carburetors for each engine that each used different parts than the other.

You might want to clarify certain things to be sure you get accurate information.

223 had intake/exhaust on drivers side.
240/300 had intake/exhaust on passengers side.

On my I’d number I have a J. That tell me it’s 223 but I might be wrong. This is my I’d number F10JD709138 and I’ll send a pictures my next post.

You are wrong, because your truck is a 1965.

VIN: F10JD709138
F10 = F100 2WD / J = 240 1V I-6 / D = Dallas TX Assembly Plant / 709138 = 1965.

J: 1954/64 = 223 I-6; 1965 = 240 I-6 // A = 1966/74 240 I-6.

No 223's installed in Ford Passenger Cars and Trucks after 1964. 240 cancelled at the end of the 1974 model run.

Illustration Section 95 page 2 might also be handy if it's a Holley.

Tough to know what you're talking about without a pic but I imagine you have a 240 vice the 223. if it's truly a 65. There's alot of pictures on this forum, big thing is the 223 has the manifold and carb on the drivers side of the engine and the 240 they're on the passenger side of the engine. My 240 has a holley 1940. Here's a picture out of an old manual. If it's really the spark control valve you're looking for I'm 90% certain I've got a couple extra I could mail you one.

Nice ol' ride you got there.
Have you checked those lock ring wheels for inner rust yet? Rust between the two wheel halves that are riveted together. Something to look into
