If anyone is looking for the p/n Fox 985-02-132, we have them in stock!
FOX lists this is as one of the two stabilizers available for the 17+ F-250 and F-350. There is a newer upgraded ATS Stabilizer coming out (p/n 983-02-143) and we will have those available in 4-6 weeks.
If so how did it help with bump steer and vibration? My truck is completely stock and the bump steer is getting bad. It has 10k miles on it, I'm afraid it may be in early stages of death wobble.
I replaced my stock one with a single Fox and the difference was noticeable. I never had any death wobble, but the bump steer is very much reduced.
I had terrible bump steer with the RC leveling kit. Replaced it with the BDS leveling kit and noticed a significant difference. My Fox Steering Stabilizer P/N 985-02-132 was on back order. Just came in yesterday. I’ll update you on the results after install. I know there is a new Fox SS out that replaces the dual set up. It is a direct replacement of the stock SS. I was told it was overkill for my set up even if I change out my tires to 35s.
I run the Fox ATS on my 2019. Great improvement over stock.
That and the 2.0 performance series shocks.
They need to break in before you can fully appreciate it.
Might need a couple adjustments on the stabilizer but its easy to turn the adjustment dial. I just tightened mine all the way and backed it off a smidge.
I went that route as well with ATS and 2.0 Fox shocks with the additional change to a PMF trackbar. All this was to try and prevent any symptoms of DW before it happened and the gnawing apprehension that it might happen again. 9000 miles and it feels great. No lift, no level.
P.S. Still have the new in box Lewis Built trackbar for sale. For 2"+ leveling/lift kit. $400 shipped.
This morning I hit a bridge joint and the bump steer lasted for a good bit so I ordered a Fox steering stabilizer. Hopefully it will fix my issues.
Not likely, may help, but bump steer comes from settings, go to a competent shop and have them adjust your suspension. Bump steer is NOT the same as DW.

I've seen you preach this over and over. Death wobble begins by hitting a bump. If I can replace my steering stabilizer and greatly improve my ride performance then I'm fine with that. I don't care if it's a bandaid or whatever.

What in the hell are you talking about, bandaids and bumps????
You are an A&P Mech...YEA, > Southwest Airmotive, Dallas Love Field Local AFL-CIO-IAM, Fuel Injection systems and I thought you were a smart guy.

Girls, girls....enough. It is clear what A&Pmech means by bumpsteer. 'Steering feedback' is commonly referred as bumpsteer on the interwebs.
These newer trucks seem to suffer more steering feedback and I believe it to be caused by the reduced caster and changed scrub radius than the Gen 1 SD.
Same as your Mr A&P, stick to your band aids and bumps in the road and hope the hell I don't fly on any plane you were involved in...
So that's the best you got? You are on very one of these threads about bump steer and death wobble and act like you are the all knowing. Numerous members have claimed that upgrading the steering stabilizer helped tremendously with the same symptoms that I experience. Then you come on here stating that it won't help followed by a sorry attempt at criticizing my ability in my profession.
