Hey guys, I have a 65 F100, 352, 3 on the tree. the shifter bowl is getting pretty worn where the pivot pin for the shifter is. I have a new aftermarket bowl and pin, ($30 at Walmart online with free delivery) I want to replace it before I'm forced to do it on the side of the road. Are there any other parts that I should get beforehand, or any problems or tricks that I should be aware of so this goes smoothly?

Notice there are two pins (7B125 in pic) with a coil spring (7208) in between that retains the shift lever to the shift collar.
I hope you bought the correct shift collar, 1961/77 F100/250 is the same. It's also the same as 1960/65 Falcon/Comet, 1964/65 Fairlane, 1966/77 Bronco.
Bill, mine came with a straight pin, no spring. Do you have a view of the bowl so that I can see the inside? If not I suppose I could pull my 63 column apart and match it up before I disable the driver.

The pic I posted is the only one, it says 1965/72, but in the 1957/63 catalog, it's the same pic and says 1961/63.
So, my 63 should be the same? The lever and that portion of the bowl that always brakes is gone, but it was a three on the tree. If they match, I should be able to use the one I bought and the existing pins and springs, correct?
Well I opened up the 63 and the shift bowl looks the same to me. The shift tube was stuck in the bowl but that shifter hasn't moved in years. Looks pretty straight forward to replace the bowl.
