Get a new one from Tousely Ford Parts. I had to replace the shifter on my old F250 last year.

Until you get it replaced, just shift carefully.

Ed hasn't been around for two years or so. He had to retire because of the stroke he had.

Tousley has the best prices compared to other Ford dealerships, plus they are a supporting vendor here.

Why is there no link for them in the sponser list? I did a search and found a Tousely Ford. I guess it is the same one.

my bad I finally found it on the sponser pages but the link does not work for me and found it somewhat funny that Eds link is the very first one.

Tousley, not Tousely.

TousleyFordParts.com is down right now.

You can post in Steve's thread in the Vendor Forum though. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post11313257

But the site will probably be back up before Steve answers the post.

It appears the TousleyFordParts site is down currently...otherwise I was going to try to find the link for you. It is under the steering column parts diagram item #1 listed at around $50.

I know the place well. The three months I lived there was definetely a life changer. I was able to attend a friends graduation there as well about 5 years ago. It is a lot different now from what he told me. Of course I was there 21 years ago during this time of year.

I think I found a local stealership with a pretty good price for the quick fix. $51.19

did you just have to replace the switch portion or whole column?
How hard was install?

It came with the whole lever.Which was cool because my rubber cover at the bottom was all tore up and now it is new as well. It was a real easy switch. Just look at the new electrical connector to make sure you unplug it at the right point. I was trying to pull it out at the wrong place. Really I think all one would need is a phillips screw driver. After you unscrew the column covers you could use it to drive the pin out.
It was $55 and change from a local stealership. I did not have the patience to wait on Tousley any longer.

I have had good luck with part prices at my local dealerships, they usually give me a "matrix price" at first which is anywhere from 10 to 100% higher than what I have seen from dealerships on line. Then I just ask for "book price"(the price most online dealerships charge) and they let me have it for that.

If I print out the page from the online dealership and highlight the part number and price then I can just hand them the page, ask for the highlighted part and they dont even try the "matrix" price.
