I'm upgrading the cluster in my F-150 later this month when the mileage matches......the cluster I bought is out of a truck that pretty much matches mine, 4wd, XLT, etc etc. I know there might be some minor differences in a few modules. I couldn't find anything definitive so I'm wondering if I actually NEED to program the upgraded cluster to my truck as-builts or if I can just pick and choose which ones I need to stay enabled or disabled within that cluster?
Would it just be easier to basically wipe it clean and then program it to my OEM as-built and then add back any modules I have already programmed that weren't part of my OEM as-builts? Confusing yet?!
Thanks for any help with this. I'm sure that it will be dang near plug and play and that will just require some tweaking, I just don't relish the thought of picking through Hex code to activate or deactivate stuff with Forscan......
