What is this

I just purchased two identical 1937 1-1/2 ton trucks. They have what the person I bought from said he thought were some type of turn signal. Anyone know anything about these?

It appears to be the old semaphore type of signal. Pull the chain, flag goes up.

Y'all are the collectors etc, but I'd adapt some BRIGHT electric stop and turn signals to a driver.

Hey could you get some more photos of how it’s all mounted

my 46 came with one under the seat but none of the mounts are still with it and I would love to get it back on the truck and working for nostalgia

mine had a handle above the drivers door that it looks at it looks like you would push forward and it had 3 indents that it would sit in and hold the arm up

I have about 5 of those old arms now that are all glass inside the metal to reflect light so someone could see you where turning with their headlights
