E40d transmission

E40d transmission
I have a E40d transmission that has 2 sensor plugs on the top side one on the front and one on the tail end.The tranny I took out has no sensors on the top side of the tranny. My question is will the tranny work on my truck if I do not hook up the sensors and change the solenoid to match my harness plug????? The truck is a 97 150 w/5.4 engine. Thanks for any help on this

No E4OD had two sensors on top. You have a 4R100. It will work, but you'll also need to convert the pump body from PWM to on/off. There are instructions to do that under the INSTRUCTIONS tab at the bottom of THIS page.
