Better instructions
I bought a hood nut repair kit from mid fifty. I understand you drill the nut with a 1/2 drill but I don’t understand the steps after that. It’s not explained well in the instructions.

I think its a threaded insert that is pulled in with the tool, kind of like a big pop rivet.
Just a small heads up (from the school of hard knocks) it is some times difficult to drill perfectly round larger hole when there is all ready a smaller one. Use a step drill bit works good.

I could do pictures of the above things (upon request) but have to wash the cat today.
