Hey Gloria. I'm not sure which one that might be, but there are a very few of the Ford connectors still available from the aftermarket sources. I've sen some in the local parts stores, but I can't remember what their application was.
Any chance you can post up a pic of which one you're talking about? Is it one of the ones that connects directly to the ICM? Does your ICM have two, or three connectors?
The stator is the part that "stays" in place, so in our case it's the magnetic pickup assembly with the wires sticking out of it. Usually blue, but not always.
The spinning wheel thingy is the armature, sometimes called a reluctor wheel, or rotor (but we usually use that term for the upper "rotor" that we replace during a tune-up) so using the same name for that lower part could get confusing. I think anyway.
When you're testing the ohms reading on your distributor, looking for 400 to 700 ohms between the Purple and the Orange wires, you're testing the stator.
