I don’t think I’d call it a mod in the terms of tweaking what’s there. You’re taking out the old fuel delivery system and putting in a whole new one.

I put in the strictly efuel system and I think we said “this is top quality stuff, so much better and why didn’t we do it before” about 100 times.

On the efuel system there are less failure points and it has the benefit of simplifying the valley - especially if you’re looking to add an IC or anything like that.

Quality parts are quality parts so you can work to get a setup built like Hitman or buy an out of the box setup.

My original fuel bowl and mechanical pump never broke so it’s totally not needed but It’s an upgrade in my mind.

Good luck in whatever you decide.

I just ordered the Irate Diesel efuel kit. I ordered a new billet turbo cartridge today also. I'm waiting on up pipes and my EBPV deleted ped and efuel kit before I can do much more. Tomorrow I'm going to start all the drive shaft u-joints.

Over the last several years I have done a lot of mods to my ‘95 F-350. Some for power and towing heavy loads through the mountains (HPOP, injectors, turbo rebuild, intercooler, etc.), and some just ‘cause. The two best mods I made for just day-to-day driveability were an e-fuel system and a high energy starter. These two virtually removed ALL of my old cold-weather starting problems. I have a fuel heater added to my fuel system (Dieselsite CPR), which also came with an impact sensor and an oil pressure sensor for fuel pump shutoff. I installed a dash switch to allow priming the fuel system after a filter change. I do STRONGLY recommend carrying a spare of each filter in the fuel system. Some are not readily available on a Friday evening on the road. I paid $400 for a tow after getting some bad-fuel. I knew what was wrong, but couldn’t find the $12 filter anywhere. Had one sitting in my barn. Lesson learned.

Thats good to hear. I just called Irate Diesel and they said my efuel system is shipping today. My new turbo wheel cartridge should be here today along with my up pipes. My deleted ped should be here tomorrow. Then It will be on. I can get all the efuel plumbed and then do up pipes and ped and then get the clutch done and get the trans and transfer case put back. I will be getting a new starter my gear is chewed up anyway. What starter is recommended? After all this is done I can start on injectors and new water pump and radiator. Then rebuild the locking hubs and wheel bearings if need be. I knew when buying this truck a total overhaul was going to be needed. I also need to lift the bed to get rid of the filters and most likely put on new pickups. I'm figuring with the 60 micron pre filter and the 2 micron second filter with the efuel kit I wont need the tank filters at all anymore.

There aren't any tank filters. There are what we refer to as shower heads, which is really just a metal strainer to prevent large debris to get through. Those shower heads should stay on the pickup to ensure you get all the fuel in the tank, and that you don't fill your filter up with crud.

Starter: You might check the forums for recommendations. The Nippon Denso style is the one I got. You can get them at Rock Auto, or Amazon, usually. It looks considerably different from the stock starter and is a two-bolt unit, even though the OEM was a three bolt design. It is a direct fit, and a big improvement. Some of the Denso knockoffs get mixed reviews.

Fuel tank: you might google the “hutch fuel tank mod.” It deletes the mixing chamber and the mesh filters you pictured. It also opens the fuel pipe opening in the foot to 3/8” and deletes the screen on the foot. Because it deletes all the intank filters, you should add an inline filter (pre-pump) that is frame mounted. Now you can clean or replace the filter without dropping the tanks. Much more convenient and much freer fuel flow. RiffRaff Diesel and Driven Diesel have parts kits available for the mod. Also have inline filter assemblies.

The efuel (fuel bowl delete) kit I ordered comes with a 60 micron water/pre-filter before the pump and a secondary filter after the pump thats why I'm not to worried about removing the fuel tank filter screens. I will of course keep the pickup but I'm assuming that when I get in there it will be cracked into pieces on the bottom of my tank. I have watched diesel tech Ron do the Hutch mod and that is exactly what I was planning on doing.

I wish there was a better solutIon for the plastic shower heads. I replaced both about 2 years ago and I think the front one is broken again.
