Random Wiring Questions
So I have been busy on my 1981 F250 for a while and am waiting for some parts right now. As this is supposed to be a full restoration I thought I would spend the time on some interior work. While researching I found that my truck is supposed to have a seatbelt light and buzzer come on when the ignition comes on. Now, I have drivin this truck for 3 month every day and I never had a light or buzzer come on. So when I took the glovebox liner out I found the white buzzer for the headlight, which was hooked up and worked properly. Next to it was the green one for the seatbelt buzzer, but it was not plugged in and the connecter is no where to be found. So on the search for the connector I ran across some wiring that I have no idea what it is for, as well as some things that are kinda questionable. So I took some pictures and am hoping that y'all can maybe give me some insight.
This comes up from under the floormat and goes up in the back pillar, I am presuming it goes to the seatbelt(?). The other one is kinda strange It continues to the center of the bench.
After comming to the center of the bench it goes up into the seat(Grey connector). I have no idea what it is for. Maybe yall know more about it. (Sorry for the mess. Havent been under the bench since I bought it)
Then I found this under the dash. The thing in the background is the accelerator pedal for reference. It looks like a hack job and I have no idea about what it does and where it goes. Ill go back and check when my lamp is charged up. But again I am hoping that somone has an idea. (Maybe something for the seatbelt buzzer(?))
This here is a connector that attaches to a switch on the glove compartment door. I am guessing it is supposed to trigger the light socket in the next picture. Although I dont see how that makes sense since it is not lighting up the compartment, but the floor underneath. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
This is the fitting the switch runs to ( at least one of the three wires) Is this supposed to be activated by the glove compartment switch? Also somone know the bulb size on this?
I know that these might be stupid questions, but I am electrically not capable to say the least. I can figure nuts and bolts out, but electricity-wise I just know enough to be dangerous. Hopefully someone can give me some insight into this.
Thank You in advance.
So I have been busy on my 1981 F250 Custom or Ranger or ? as it may tell us what options it may have for a while and am waiting for some parts right now. The wires going to the seat are for the seat belt buzzer, when your butt is in the seat it should tell the system a butt is in the seat and turn the buzzer on. The other part going up the B pillar is for the dome light.

Is your truck a stick? If so I think it is the NSS by pass. To test pull out the loop and see if the truck will turn over if not that is the NSS bypass.

Cant say what that all is. As for the bulb you should have one on the other side see if it has a bulb for the size or check the owners book.

It does have those map lights at the dome light and the under hood lights. I am gonna go through my manual to find out the bulb size, gets couple of them and just try and see if they work.

I have also found a connector taped to a cable packet, but it doesn’t have the right colors and I don’t think it is long enough to reach over to the glove compartment. So it probably was some other accessory.
Does anyone have a picture of the connector by chance? The fact that the brown wire was disconnected makes me think that they took the cable pack for the buzzer out entirely, but maybe I’ll find something hidden under the dash while searching around.
Thank You
