BIG MISTAKE???
Just sold my 2000 f350 super duty V10. Loved the truck but needed more than a standard cab. Found an 03 crew cab, with the 6.0L. Looked the truck over had some professional upgrades to it, lift kit (which I really wasnt looking for ) but I really like these Fords and it was a crew cab Lariat. Make a short story, bought it from a mechanic told me that there was a coolant leak at the overflow (degas bottle) i guess, anyway turned out it wasnt a leak but coming out of the cap,very little though and not all the time. After doing some research it looks like it could be several problems not the least of which is head gasket, am I doomed?? WiIl probably keep the truck for many years so I guess I need to start diagnosing. The one good thing (I suppose anyway) is that other than that it is pretty sound, body is in decent shape for the year and being from the North East.
