Hello, I own an 08' f350 RCLB 5.4. Recently ripped off a tow mirror that has no power anything. Luckily the truck is an XLT and the correct job so it has all the needed accessories for power folding/telescoping mirrors. The OEM mirrors are very expensive and all I can find are cheap/ bad quality aftermarket options.
Does anyone make a decent power mirror at a reasonable price?
I have A1Auto 08+ mirrors on my 2004 F350. I bought the heated mirror option and running/turn options also since my truck was wired for it, ive had them for well over ten years and they are in perfect working/looking condition still
I've had to buy a few replacement tow mirrors.
All I'll say is you get what you pay for. Lots of shaky
vibration up at speed, and the extension tubes will rust on
some of them. Factories are much more stable. But at
the end of the day I'd rather have a few extra bucks in my pocket.
Try to see about reviews on EBay or Amazon but you do get what you pay for. The OEMs are wicked expensive. What about buying used or calling around to any pick and pulls? Check out the classifieds here as well.
I also have a 1A mirror. My driver's side went out on my 2011. I had it on for at least 2 years, maybe 3 before the engine crapped on me. I still have it (and an extra one). If you're interested, I can get you one side anyway. One thing with mine is, it had the chrome cap. But it never gave me any problems. If you're interested, pm me.
