Ok, I have been getting the P0720 code and order the part ( output speed sensor) but where the heck is the sensor on the transmission. I have looked everywhere. There is one sport on the front of the engine to the left of the belts that has a similar looking sensor but I cant imagine that is it. I can’t find anything on the internet. I find a lot of stuff about the sensors on other makes and models but nothing specific to the 2013 expedition.
Thanks
Did you already get the part? If so (or if you have a part number), maybe go on a vendors website and look up the part number. Many have exploding diagrams that may show you where it’s actually located.
Yes I bought the part, but can find it anywhere on the transmission. There is a similar part on the front of the engine to the right of the belts if your facing the car from the front
Alloro it is 2wd drive.
pdqford, thanks for the video I have already watched that one and his other one plus many more. Still can’t find the sensor location.
There is a sensor off the front of the engine that looks similar so I took it off but it is slightly different connection size. This is located if your at the front of the vehicle looking at it , it is on the right on the drivers side right of the belts.
It is inside the transmission as part of the molded lead frame.
Ford has a couple of TSBs regarding the lead frame.
And I think they have extended the warranty on it.
