is this worth it
Hi all. I am about to buy a carpet kit for my truck. I have questions about acc carpets with mass backing. Has anyone used this type of carpet? I have made cardboard template for clutch and brake pedals. Which does everyone prefer? It seems like the carpet without mass backing would be easier to install. Please let me know what you all think.

Yes, probably easier to install but the mass backing carpet will also provide some sound dampening as well as reduce heat coming from the floor. That may be more important to you in the long run.

^what he said... I bought carpet without the backing, ended up taking it back out and insulating and soundproofing the floor, then re-installed the carpet. You can buy Dynomat or something similar and install it before you install the carpet. You can also purchase mass backing or some king of insulation separately...
