Talking BOUGHT IT!

I was able to purchase a 1997 350 5spd XL for 5500 today!!!! And yes it is a 4x4.

Currently has exhaust, intake an exhaust brake.

Need to put a new clutch in and was thinking of getting the Velo dual mass kit. The truck needs a few other things but over all isn't too bad!

I will put some photos up when I have a few minutes to take some.

I am not to sure what the clutch specs are. I don't have big plans for injectors or chips just want it to be smooth.

Today I had the truck driving to work(1hr each way) and stopped at a wrecker along the way to pick up a door handle and some other pieces.

The truck runs smooth but lacks the nuts the dually has even though the dually has flat spots all over the power band. I suspect the turbo is dusted and the injectors are weak, but it doesn't miss or smoke.

Now for the bad news. It is raining here, and it is raining in the cab. I suspect the cab lights are leaking and I suspect the windshield is leaking as well because there is some rust at the top edge.

Where do I find a paint code? Are there different options for cab lights? The truck is a dark green/bluish color. I will get some photos tomorrow and post them for everyone to see.

The rust spots are the top edge of the window and the passenger fender. I don't mind the fender but the cab is a problem.

I have found the paint code and looked up on this site:
Dark Tourmaline Metallic Clearcoat NB/M6797

What do you guys suggest for touch up paint. I am going to have the windshield done this week and it would be nice to touch up some rusty spots then paint the area. It doesn't have to be perfect but I don't like miss match stuff everywhere.

If you put paint over rust you are just wasting money it will not last and will look worse later on...

I hope that when the windsheild is out I can wire brush and clean the rust areas, por15, prime and paint with a color match. I have a sprayer but need to find a color match for the paint. I was hoping there was a touch up paint source list members used vs buying a litre.
