If anyone is worried about the air dam, the Tremor package has a shorter air dam, probably just R&R. The part will probably be pricey.
One obvious aerodynamic note..
Nascar, NHRA Funny Car, and basically any higher speed road race car aerodynamically removes underbody aero deficiencies by dropping a dam/splitter as close to the pavement as possible.
The underside is where the greatest inefficiency remains in a truck. Just look at the aerodynamic improvements in class 8.
I would imagine the new dam is engineered to take some hits, while delivering better aerodynamics.
We all have different needs. If clearance is an issue, simply remove it or take 67’s advice..
Ok, time for Ford to update their site and go live on the 2020.
I’m sitting home for a few days after getting my 60 year old wisdom teeth yanked, and I’m going stir crazy...
I’m ordering stuff for a truck that’s still in pieces, sitting in parts bins all over the world..
Clearance may be an issue Oaks, especially if the front end is slightly lower. But I’m guessing a nice bump in fuel mileage because of lowering/air dam directing more air smoothly under the truck, coupled with new power and a higher pressure and more advanced fuel system. . Just be careful. My off roading is simply getting coffee at a McDonalds drive-thru.:)
Well George what ever you do don't put that coffee between your legs and squeeze as it will burn like hell on the other hand you could win maybe a few $MIL...
Late availability usually means Job 2, which is A long way off..(guessing) April.
Dealer got back to me today and said most likely it’ll be after the first for the silver spruce. Going to put my order in this week for that color and just deal with the wait. Hopefully I can still apply my PCO which expires on 1/2/20. Don’t “need” the truck until april when we have our first big trip

I tried to get 2 different dealers to lock in my PCO. Both said no. I'm hopeful there will be more for Feburary/March which is my target date for getting delivery.

In the past when a dealer said no to locking in at time of order it was a misunderstanding or lack of know how, but the fact was that it could be locked in. What would make this PCO any different?
Has anyone else been able to lock in thier PCO on a 2020 order? If yes, then those 2 dealers are full of crap.
My PCO specifically says that delivery must be taken from dealer stock by 1/2. I asked for a work around but they both said no. I may try some others
dealers since I'm not ready to order yet. If someone has actually had their PCO extended I would like to know how they did it. The fine print may have been different in the past which allowed for the extension for placing an order. I wish it said taken from dealer stock or ordered by 1/2 but it doesn't.

Lol, every PCO has had that language(wording) and it hasn't stopped them from being able to lock it in, even though the order wasn't on the ground till after expiration. Anyway, I dont want to muddy up this thread too much with PCO talk, but unless some policy change has been made, it can be locked in.

Dealer told me as long as we get the vin we can lock it in. Didn’t seem like a big deal

I would love a definitive answer before I go PCO hunting.
I’m guessing my truck will be here around the holidays, or possibly right after the new year, and I wouldn’t want to tie up a PCO and wasting it.
