4wd shift indicator issue

I have a 95 f150 4.9l 4x4, my question is on my 4wd indicator light. All lights are off in 2wd and neutral but it shows 4 low in both 4wd positions. It is a floor shift transfer case e4od transmission

Bulb getting juice?
Switch getting juice?

The low range light is separate from the 4wd so it should not be on at all when it's in the 4 hi position but it is.

I don't have the wiring diagram but you can bet there's a switch of some sort for turning those lights on and off.
Mechanical switches fail open or closed depending on a variety of factors and design considerations.

If the bulb is on when it shouldn't be there could be a linkage to switch issue or just a switch issue.
From the sounds of it, if you find the switch you'll find your problem.
