Hello; I'm new. I will join any site if I have a question I can't get by researching it generally through the web. So, here goes: I have a '99 Ranger. It has just under 200,000 miles on it. I've done some "creative wiring" over the years. Time for that later. What I am looking for is a dome light extender. Once the door is opened I want the dome light to come on for a few seconds then fade out. The part I was looking for is no longer available. Does anybody have any information on this type of module? I light that came with the truck kinda broke so I had to replace it with an after market light but it doesn't come on when the door opens. I could wire it so it would come on but then I would want it to come on via the switch. I could add a second light which is an option but I'd rather have the timing modeule. Jameco used to carry such a timer, but no longer. I have the scematic to build one but if one is already available, all the better. Thanks -G
