I have used a couple of these with good luck for a year or so.

I put one on each side of the engine compartment.
Knock wood, most of the neighbors are still having rat issues, but so far so good.

Watch out with the fly bait... if you mix with coke in a pie plate and something drinks it they might not get 3 ft from the plate...anything.

In the '90's several manufacturers experimented with wire insulation made from soy plants. Another stupid knee-jerk environmental failure! I don't know if Ford used it or not, but it wasn't a good idea so far as rodents were concerned....
