So the truck is acting funny after rebuilding, the truck is really slow and has almost no power. So I unhooked the vgt and it has more power with it unplugged than plugged in, ebp sensor and tube are good, along with boost sensor. So what do you guys think? I’m stumped
Edit: also I have wired the vgt to be controlled in the truck for testing purposes, and when I disable it, it has more power, enable it and it smokes and is slow
Midaswell give him the info.
You need a Bluetooth adapter. Elm327 is what most people use if they have an Android phone. Apple phones use Wi-Fi so you would have to purchase a Wi-Fi adapter.
Forscan lite is what you want for your phone. $4.99 at the play store. Simple to use, a little trial and error you will figure it out. It will give a lot of info on your day to day operation and diagnostics.

What wifi adapter should I buy? Any recommendations?
Elm327 has a WiFi dongle. I'd search Amazon for elm WiFi. I'm a Android guy so not a lot of experience on the WiFi dongles. Maybe some one else will chime in with better info.

Alright well I have iOS so I’ll just keep browsing
I'm not in my truck but off top of my head I would go into settings look at connection or somthing of the sort and switch to Wi-Fi connection. I'll look into it later if ya still need help.
