Hey all, I don't know how I got on 2 lawyers email list, but I did. The first "emissions lawyer" has outlined all the things Ford is supposedly responsible for blah, blah, blah. Then something interesting caught my eye. Apparently there is a software patch that fixes the emission system short-comings. This guy claims the patch hurts performance, gas mileage, and the truck in general. His words, "dealerships are performing the software patch without their customers knowledge or consent, when the vehicle is brought in for an unrelated service".
Can they do this? I certainly do not want a re-flash, I am not interested in suing anybody, and my vehicle passes CA emissions testing, and runs just fine. With extended warranty still left on my 2015, I would be pretty pissed if this was done without my prior knowledge. I know, just delete right? Well that standard answer doesn't help me. I have 38 more months till retirement, then I can leave California.
The other lawyer hounding me is suing for the CP4 pump. The "ticking time bomb" as he calls it. Just wondering what percentage of these pumps fail at 100K miles that isn't from neglect, but I guess that is for a different thread. Thanks for reading.
