3.7 Tune-up

I have a 2012 3.7 4x4 that's rapidly approaching 65k and it's time to start thinking about things like trans fluid, coolant, plugs, etc. My simple, and maybe dumb question is: How often should the coils be replaced? I'll have my independent mechanic do the plugs but should I spring for all new coild at the same time or are those a "replace only when necessary" component? I'm looking at doing all of the above maintenance on my wife's Fusion, too. Thanks for any input. I'm sure I'll get about a dozen different answers to this question but that's the nature of this forum.

I do not believe they have a replace at xxx,xxx miles for the coils. At 65k I personally wouldn't worry about it, Maybe at 165k and I was going to be taking it on a trip across country and they hadn't been changed then I would.

The coils should be fine, it's just the boots that should be changed. At 60k as has been shown the plugs are probably due and the gap is out of spec. The plug change in the 3.7 is hardly worth paying someone for. It's a 20 min job start to finish.

Thanks for the tips. After looking closer at the truck over the weekend and reviewing a couple of YouTube videos, it appears the the intake needs to come off to access the right side. That's definitely not something I'm prepared to do at home in my driveway. I may talk to him about replacing the coils and the PCV anyway just so we don't need to go through this again in a year or two when one of those old coils decides to s*** the bed.
