The other day my WTS light went from staying on 10-12 seconds to 2-4 seconds. I had 2 bad plugs that I pulled out & put in 2 new motorcrafts. WTS stayed on a good 10-12 seconds in the morning, when I went to drive home from work it was only on for a couple of seconds. Sure enough I had 2 more bad plugs. Not the new ones I just put in.
The 2 I pulled out were autolites 1108s, I'm guessing the PO used autolites for all 8 of them, should I just replace the remaining 6 w/ motorcrafts? I'm guessing the resistance is different in the motorcrafts & I'll just keep burning up the old autolites anyway???
I would go ahead and replace the rest with Motorcraft. Even if they keep working (unlikely) the Autolites may end up with swollen tips causing all sorts of problems when you do need to replace them.
