A little back story, I am about to start to replace my head gaskets since I have a slight leak. I am finishing up getting all the parts I need for that. Now I do have a 3 injectors the are low on power cold on the power balance test, and 1 or 2 more that are questionable. I know that it is a stiction issues since there are fine warm.
Since I need to remove the old injectors, I am trying to decide if I need to spend the extra money and replace them all. So at what point should I just bite the bullet.
I am having the same problem with stiction and am doing head gaskets right now. I decided to do the injector rebuild kits and buy new spool valves. I've done 3 injectors so far and it's not too bad. I got them from https://bitterrootdiesel.com/collect...-0-powerstroke. Hopefully they last after all the work I'm putting into them.
I did the spool valve polishing thing, truck ran worse. Replaced all 8 and haven’t worked on it since except for preventative and servicing stuff. Runs real good. Ford remans from the local dealership, only slightly more than the best on-line price I could find so I paid extra for the quick turn around if there was a problem but luckily no issues at all.
