So here's the skinny.
Been having to turn off the OD till about 45mph, then hit the button and then it will shift. Then about 2 weeks ago, I round a corner and start accelerating and it just revs the engine, no gear works not even reverse. So far I drained the tranny fluid replaced the shift solenoid and filter, refilled it and replaced the VSS. And nothing. Thanks in advance for the help
the OD one way Clutch failed first then when you were able to get it to move with the OD Canceled that is because it was using the Coast Clutch which is really only for braking and it's a small pack so now it has failed... the coast clutch is energized when the OD is Canceled, or when Manual 1st or 2nd is selected.
Also Failed torque converter causes loss of both forward and Reverse.
thanks, so replace torque converter first? or full rebuild with torque converter?
If you just replace the torque converter the trans still won't operate. But it will fill the new converter with debris from the failed transmission, and then you'll need to replace the torque converter again when you rebuild the trans.
Is there any type of rebuild other than a full rebuild? Do people rebuild just part of the transmission? Why would someone do that?

but yeah ... something too tight, did you have to replace any Hard Goods ?
maybe incorrect shimming ...
I've also seen case where drums were not seated into all the clutch discs too.
of course it won't spin with just a flip of the fingers, but it should turn fairly easy.... I use the ATP assembly lube along with Tranny fluid when I put em together too so they are not Dry.
Tried vice grips with a rag and it moves about a quarter of a inch both ways then stops like its locked. I just used tranny fluid could find my assembly line and the wife wont let me use hers...lol
