I live in South Florida where temperature and humidity is always between 80-95 degrees and I can’t seem to get my engine oil temperature measured with torque pro over 98* unloaded.
This weekend I took a drive to the west coast (Naples) which is approx. 110 miles and my EOT’s would not go over 96*
I have read everywhere that this is too cold and I should be somewhere around 180*. What going on that I can’t see higher eot temps? For the record, my trans temp was only 148* during my ride over to Naples.
If I were you, I would reset or delete and re-add the TP PID. If it still reads low, double check with Forscan or Forscan Lite. If still reading low, replace EOT sensor.
Get a second opinion. Try the ForScan full version for Windows or the lite version for Android. If it still looks wrong then it might be time to start throwing parts at it.
Only the ZF6 equipped trucks are capable of reading coolant temperature via PID.
I have a ZF6 and have never been able to get ECT to read right with ForScan. What's the trick because I would like to compare it to EOT, which is one of my favorite ones to look at.
I second the good catch. This may very well be the "issue".
Sous,
This morning I went outside and before starting the truck the information on TP was EOT at 26* F which I know was wrong cause the outside temperature was close to 80*
I went inside and got my Auto Enginuity, hooked her up and ran the same test of which it came back at 138.65* cold....so I know there’s a problem using my TP.
I went ahead deleted and re-installed the gauge and TP PID information using the above information to 221310 and still got very low scores.....
I checked the TP settings as to C vs F and I do have the correct reading of F*
What I’m I missing here.....still getting a false EOT reading on TP
