Brake Pedal Pressure, Overdrive Function
Can anyone explain the relationship, components, switches, etc involved between applying pressure to the brake pedal and the Overdrive turning on/off. I replaced the switch on the brake master cylinder and it made no difference.
My problem is this. I turn the key to On and while I am applying firm pressure to the brake pedal, I can press the O/D switch and the Off lights up, press it again and it goes off, but this Only works when there is firm pressure on the brake pedal. Doesn't mater if the engine is running or not. Now, that's the situation when I am not in motion. When driving down the road, a firm press on the brake will flip the Overdrive to opposite whatever it is. Previously I have sent this PCM in for diagnosis / repair if necessary, and the PCM checked out good.
the short is in the column, i think the fix is documented in the tech section
